Ingredients

  • 120 g Bartlett Pear
  • 5 g Butter
  • 50 g Egg
  • 2 g Ground cinnamon
  • 15 g Maple Syrup
  • 100 g Milk 2%
  • 3 g Vanilla extract
  • 80 g Whole wheat bread

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 180°C. Grease a small baking dish with the butter.
  2. Cut the bread into small cubes and dice the Bartlett pear.
  3. Whisk the egg, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Add the bread cubes and pear to the egg mixture. Stir gently and let stand briefly so the bread absorbs the liquid.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared dish and spread it into an even layer.
  6. Bake until the custard is set and the top is lightly golden. Cool slightly, then cut into squares for meal prep.
