Ham Pizza Macaroni Skillet

A simple make-ahead macaroni skillet with cooked ham, tomato sauce, mushrooms, green pepper, and melted mozzarella. It has familiar Quebec pizza-ghetti style flavours and reheats well for easy lunches.

Ingredients

  • 1 g Black Pepper
  • 100 g Cooked Ham
  • 150 g Crushed Tomatoes
  • 75 g Dry macaroni
  • 1 g Garlic Powder
  • 60 g Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 g Italian Seasoning
  • 35 g Mozzarella cheese
  • 7 g Olive oil
  • 15 g Tomato Paste
  • 60 g White Mushroom
  • 40 g Yellow Onion

Instructions

  1. Dice the cooked ham, green bell pepper, mushrooms, and onion into small pieces.
  2. Cook the macaroni in boiling water until just tender, then drain well.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms, then cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add the cooked ham and drained macaroni to the skillet. Stir until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
  6. Sprinkle the mozzarella over the macaroni, cover the skillet, and cook until the cheese melts.
  7. Let the macaroni cool slightly, then transfer it to a meal-prep container for refrigeration.
