Ingredients
- 1 g Black Pepper
- 80 g Carrot
- 150 g Chicken broth
- 150 g Crushed Tomatoes
- 100 g Green Cabbage
- 8 g Olive oil
- 3 g Paprika
- 70 g Pearl Barley
- 75 g Red Bell Pepper
- 2 g Salt
- 350 g Whole Chicken
- 60 g Yellow Onion
Instructions
- Chop the onion, carrot, cabbage, and red bell pepper into meal-prep friendly pieces.
- Place the chopped vegetables in a slow cooker with the pearl barley, crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, olive oil, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the whole chicken dry, then place it on top of the barley and vegetable mixture.
- Cover and cook until the chicken is fully cooked and the barley is tender.
- Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it rest briefly before removing the skin and bones.
- Shred the chicken meat and stir it back into the tomato, barley, and vegetable mixture.
- Divide into meal-prep containers and cool before refrigerating.
